EEPIS-Online, Around 14-15 July 2012, DIII Electrical Engineering-ITS held an event. This event named Industrial Automation and Robotics Competition (IARC). This competition is the first event that cooperate with the National Instrument. There are four branches of competition, the Lego programming competition for high school / K are equal, HMI Programming, PLC Programming and Tetrix Robotic Programming for the student category. The competition was also followed from major universities throughout Indonesia.

PENS is certainly never miss this event. For both categories of students Tetrix Robotic and PLC Programming Programming followed by PENS. Interestingly both teams were equally from the Department of Electrical Industry. Because it is in the lecture material so that the PLC has been taught and Farid Dwi Murdianto dan Arif Gunawan very confidence joining national competition. Besides that, Farid accompanied by Ferhard participating in the race Tetrix Robotic Programming. Although Ferhard, was in an accident last month but he was still working as hard as possible to catch achievements for PENS.
"I follow Tetrix because i have the same program that i use when the race in Canada, so the program is quite familiar though this is somewhat complicated." said Farid, the young man from Ujung Pandang. That experience which bring their team to be win. Another case in the PLC Programming Competition, PLC equipped with lecture material and laboratory facilities FA (Factory Automation) is quite sufficient to make this team took get the runner up posisition in that competition. "We used to practice in the Lab FA, our own training for ngembanginnya. With a strong prayer so we win" said Arif, who also serves as President of UKM Robotics PENS.
One more thing that makes this young man who residing from Makasar, motivated to win this race Tetrix Robotic Programming, the gift of tools from National Instruments, which is one vendor of industrial tools who became a partner Organization of DIII Electrical Engineering ITS in this event.
No compete no obstacle. This is felt by both teams. Besides their training for the race they must also prepare for their final project proposal s exam. That obstacle actually make Arif and team have biggest spirit to win this competition. A drop of hope flashed upon these achievements to the fore particularly HIMA PENS Elin can hold a similar event like this to the National level PENS is better known by the public again. (aik/sat)
