EEPIS-Online, Euphoria of supporters started the opening ceremony of Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI) – Indonesia Smart Robot Contest (KRCI) 2011 which was held today (05/07) in Building Robotics ITS. The opening contest was attended by the Director-PENS, Vice Rector and Director of ITS III Litabmas Director General of Higher Education.
KRI this year have themed "Larungan", adopting the theme ABU Robocon "Loy Krathong" which this year will be held in Bangkok, Thailand. While KRCI is having theme "Intelligent Robots and Robot Intelligent Fire Extinguisher and Soccer Players."
The opening begins with a procession that followed the appearance of the whole team match. A total of 68 teams from 31 universities from Java-Bali forward to bringing alma meter nameplate that will they are fighting for 2 days (7.5 – 8.5) in Building Robotics ITS. In his speech, Ir. Dadet Pramadihanto, M. Eng, Ph.D, expressed his gratitude to all parties involved for the implementation of the event and congratulated all participants compete on. "Good Fight, Good Compete, Congratulations to play competitively and Fairplay," says Dadet.
KRI-2011 KRCI officially opened by beating a gong by prof. Ir. Tri Hapsoro Suryo Utomo, Ph. D, Director Litabmas Director General of Higher Education. "To all students, do not be afraid and hesitant to initiate creativity and innovation. Everything is free," Suryo said in his speech. Suryo expect this contest to lift the culture of Indonesia and to print the younger generation who have the ability in the field of international caliber technology. When Suryo chanted "Student Life", Robotics Building boisterous with shouts of nearly a thousand students who are ready to compete and support sportsmanship.
Opening ceremony closed with a series of dance Cunduk Menur from Banyuwangi. In this dance embodied the meaning of prayer and hope for the success of the teams that competed in this prestigious event. After the dance Cunduk Menur, wild supporters echoed in the building welcomes first game Robot Indonesian Robot Contest 2011 Regional IV.(dwe/ve/sui/mel)
