EEPIS-Online, Visits of students and lecturers from the PNU (Pusan National University) from South Korea in collaboration with students and lecturers from PENS greeted with enthusiasm by the cityzen of Keputih Tegal Timur, Surabaya. They came to assist local residents in the installation of solar photovoltaic power street lights, water purify, and renovation of hall residents (KOIN Dulur). The event which lasted for 3 days starting on December 13 to January 15, 2010.
The enthusiasm of residents of Keputih Tegal Timur very visible when they are in droves to welcome the arrival of the ESC team. More than 100 elementary school children from the village lined the road to give a welcome greeting. "We are very happy, they are very friendly", Sohee Park said that is one of Staff PNU.
According to Mr. Suwandi, the local Chairman said that the residents are very grateful for this assistance. "Hopefully this program can take place every year, so many people are helped.
