The Department of Electrical contains several study programs that have existed since the inception of the Electronic Engineering Polytechnic Institute of Surabaya. This department covers three disciplines, namely Electronics, Telecommunication, and Industrial Electrical. The Department of Electrical Engineering at the Electronic Engineering Polytechnic Institute of Surabaya oversees seven study programs, namely D3 Electronic Engineering, D4 Electronic Engineering, D3 Telecommunication Engineering, D4 Telecommunication Engineering, D3 Industrial Electrical Engineering, D4 Industrial Electrical Engineering and Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering.

The Electrical Department was founded on the great need for experts in the fields of electronics engineering, telecommunication systems and industrial electricity. This department also aims to become a center of excellence for education and technology, especially emerging technology, as well as to produce qualified and competent graduates in the fields of Electronics, Telecommunications, and Electrical Industries.
