DIPLOMA 3 ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING

Electronic Engineering Polytechnic Institute of Surabaya was founded in 1988, originally named the Electronics and Telecommunications Polytechnic with two Diploma III education programs, namely the Department of Electronics Engineering and the Department of Telecommunication Engineering. Then in 1992, the name changed to Surabaya Electronics Polytechnic, and changed again to Electronic Engineering Polytechnic Institute of Surabaya as it is today since 1996.

At the beginning of its establishment, the Department of Electronics Engineering covered all competencies in the field of electronics in the form of mastery of electronic engineering, industrial control and automation, mechanical-robotics as well as mastery of power electronics expertise. To improve professionalism, in 1992 the Department of Electronics formed a Diploma III Electrical Engineering study program to accommodate the qualifications and competencies of power electronics. This new study program separated from the Department of Electronics and formed a new department of Electrical Engineering in 1997.

In 2004 the Electronic Engineering Polytechnic Institute of Surabaya received a grant from the Japanese government through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to organize a Diploma IV education program. Then the Diploma IV Electronic Engineering study program was established together with the Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Informatics Engineering study programs.

Then in 2006, the Electronics Engineering department was divided again with the establishment of a new Diploma IV Mechatronic Engineering study program to accommodate qualifications and competencies in the mechanical-robotics field.

And now the Electronics Engineering department consists of the Diploma III Electronic Engineering Study Program (6 semesters study period), the Electronic Engineering Diploma IV Study Program (8 semesters study period) and the Electronic Engineering Advanced Diploma IV Study Program (3 semesters study period).

These three study programs focus on the quality of graduates who are competent and have qualifications in the field of electronics engineering with a difference in the level of analytical and problem solving abilities which are higher in the Diploma IV program than the Diploma III.

VISION:

To become a center of excellence for engineering technology education in the field of emerging technology that produces qualified and professional graduates with a concentration in automation and industrial instrumentation based on electronic systems, both nationally and internationally.

MISSION:

1. Always based on the national interest, the DIII Electronic Engineering Study Program organizes an educational process to become a center for producing professionals in the field of technology with special abilities in the field of automation and electronic system-based industrial instrumentation.

2. By always prioritizing global/international insights and positive thinking for the advancement of national technology, the DIII Electronic Engineering Study Program is active in reviewing and developing the education system in the field of electronic engineering in the context of developing the polytechnic education system in Indonesia.
3. DIII Electronic Engineering Study Program actively conducts research, implements technology in the field of electronic engineering, as well as community service, to improve the quality of human life.
4. DIII Electronic Engineering Study Program plays an active role in developing and implementing academic ethical and moral values.
