Surabaya, pens.ac.id – UKM Electronic Engineering Polytechnic Institute of Surabaya Association (PENS) or who is familiarly called PENS Students Choir has not only succeeded in achieving at the national level but also managed to make proud achievements on the international stage. The award was Outstanding Performance at the Takarazuka International Chamber Chorus Contest-Japan by performing 2 songs. On Saturday, July 23, 2022.
The preparation was carried out for approximately 4 months with the help of trainers and coaches who were very supportive, both morally and financially. For a class of international competitions that were prepared for only a few months, this achievement is considered very good. Considering the difficulty of uniting many people in one unit, a beautiful song and a lot of material. So it is hoped that the EEPIS Choir will be able to improve themselves at the next national or international event.
Previously, the PENS Choir had received awards at the national level in a significant period of time. However, the Takarazuka International Chamber Chorus Contest event was the initial foundation of the PENS PSM in spreading its wings in the international arena. Of course there are still many deficiencies and evaluations that must be addressed. Therefore, PENS Choir decided to take part in international events again this year.
PENS PSM is currently preparing for the “12th Bali International Choir Festival” which will be held offline in Badung, Bali. This championship will be participated by 16 countries from around the world. At the same time, PENS Choir is also preparing for the Pre-Competition Concert to show off before facing the BICF international competition. Previously, a series of National-scale Achievements had also been achieved by the PENS Choir. Everything is under the guidance of Mrs. Fardani Annisa Damastuti, S.ST., MT as the Advisor and Founder of the PENS PSM since 2012. Also accompanied by the current Chair of the PENS PSM, Aulia Lailatul Fitri. (Hum)
