Surabaya, – The EEPIS Extraordinary Senate Open Session which took place on Tuesday (21/3), in the Auditorium Room Floor 6 of the EEPIS Postgraduate Building became an important moment for Prof. Dr. Ir. Dedid Cahya Happyanto, MT Professor in the Field of Intelligent Control & Electric Vehicle Science at the Department of Electrical Engineering was finally confirmed thanks to extraordinary research regarding the Development of Smart Car Electric Car Technology. This activity was also attended by several colleagues, Professors' families, and the PENS academic community starting from the board of directors, lecturers, staff, and students.

Prof. Dr. Ir. Dedid Cahya Happyanto, MT has been officially appointed as the third professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and also the fourth professor owned by PENS. During the inauguration several colleagues were also present as a form of appreciation for him. A scientific oration entitled "Development of Smart Car Electric Car Technology and Infrastructure to Improve Services and Security Towards Indonesia Smart City" was read by Prof. Dedid Cahya in this series of activities. In the oration Prof. Dedid Cahya explained the results of his research in the development of electric-based car technology internet of things which is very useful for the community, especially in preparation for a more advanced Indonesia. "The concept of the ideas that we make will be offered to the government, because now the government is busy in electric viberonly, so with this offer it will help Indonesia's transportation to be even more advanced, "he said.

For the future electric cars smart car This will be redeveloped in terms of the processor, thereby increasing user comfort when traveling on the road. Hopefully with the inauguration of Prof. Dr. Ir. Dedid Cahya Happyanto, MT as a professor at PENS can help support the realization of PERPRES No. 55 of 2019 concerning the acceleration of the battery-based electric motorized vehicle program for road transportation. (may/rif)
