Mojokerto, pens.ac.id – One of the work programs of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Electronic Engineering Polytechnic Institute of Surabaya (PENS), namely PENS Goes to Village (PGTV) after being held by several PENS students as volunteer Taking the location point in Kesiman Hamlet, Rejosari Village, Jatirejo District, Mojokerto Regency, PGTV this time was held for six days, starting from Monday to Saturday (7-12/11). The empowerment activity was successful in showing the enthusiasm of the people of Dusun Kesiman so that it could be completed properly and smoothly.
The opening of the PGTV activity this time was attended by the Head of Rejosari Village, namely Suprapto and Kuswanto as the Head of Kesiman Hamlet. In his speech, Suprapto really hoped that the PENS students would help Kesiman Hamlet to be better than before. There was also Hendrik Elvian Gayuh Prasetya, S.ST., MT as an EEPIS lecturer who gave a speech in PGTV activities on the first day. The three figures cut the cone as a sign of the opening of the 2022 PGTV activities.
Various agendas were prepared by EEPIS students, one of which was: Coffee Plant Care Seminar and Training. Not only that, there is a Commodity Processing Workshop where the results can be consumed by the community or resold to increase their income. In order to maintain the health of the village community, especially the growth and development of children, there are Health Counseling activities. In the education sector, EEPIS students also teach and guide elementary school (SD) children in Rejosari Village. Students also do live in namely the activity of adapting to the residents of Kesiman Hamlet by following their daily lives.
In accordance with the university's tri dharma, empowerment activities like this must be actively carried out by students to spread the knowledge that has been received on campus to the wider community. After the PGTV activity, it is hoped that it will have a positive impact on Rejosari Village from various targeted sectors. Students are also expected to be able to learn various good things that they get after doing this community service activity. "Although there are still many shortcomings from us, the students, but we hope that we will be able to help the village community well," hoped Muhammad Rizal Jibran as the Chief Executive of PGTV 2022.
