ABSTRAK
Teknologi sekarang ini telah berkembang dengan pesat dan sangat luas, terutama dibidang robotika. Di negara-negara maju, robot tidak hanya digunakan untuk kebutuhan industri, akan tetapi sudah mengarah sebagai alat pembantu manusia. Oleh karena itu pada tugas akhir ini akan dibuat " Algoritma Identifikasi Sampah Berbasis Image Processing".
Image Processing atau sering disebut pengolahan citra digital merupakan suatu metode atau teknik yang dapat digunakan untuk memproses citra atau gambar dengan jalan memanipulasinya menjadi suatu data gambar yang diisikan untuk mendapatkan suatu informasi tertentu mengenai obyek yang sedang diamati.
Dengan pengolahan gambar di sistem perangkat lunaknya robot dituntut untuk dapat bergerak dengan lincah. Dengan metode segmentasi warna dan ukuran robot mengenali obyek berupa sampah yang ada didepan dan sekitarnya. Sensor kamera yang digunakan terhubung dengan komputer dengan menggunakan USB (Universal Serial Bus).
Dari beberapa pengujian, dengan menggunakan threshold pengenalan obyek berjalan dengan baik. Dari pengujian, diketahui bahwa pencahayaan mempengaruhi keberhasilan robot dalam proses pengambilan dan pengenalan obyek.

ABSTRACT
This time technology have expanded at full speed and very wide, especially robotic. In the other country robots not only use for industry sector but also they have used for help human now. This final project will make the “Algorithme Identification Robot Garbage with Image Processing”.
Image processing is method to take and process picture with manipulation date to be picture where to get more information of date is looking for.
Sensor camera is used to detect objects that is garbage. Image processing is used to detect of objects in front of camera by color and size segmentation. The robot can move lively and dynamics. The camera is connected to the computer by USB (Universal Serial Bus). Then result of the detection from computer will be send by passing RS232 serial communication to microcontroller which is connect by motor driver to get the response like movement and action of robot.
Depend on trials, using threshold recognizing the object was running according to the plan. The lightening influences the robot successfully to takes and recognizes the picture
